Red Card Information
What is a red card?
A red card is a communication tool the athletic office uses to communicate to coaches that student-athletes have all the required information to participate in athletics at Watertown High School.
What things need to be done/completed to obtain a red card?
Red Card Video:
Any WHS student who has not watched the video, and plans on participating in WHS sports, is required to watch the video with a parent. This video is located in Skyward Family Access. Both parent and athlete must sign off that they watched and understand the contents of the video. (instructions on where to find the video is below under Forms and Information)
Online Athletic forms: All of the online athletic red card forms are located in your family access Skyward account under custom forms. (see link below for instructions) The online forms must be completely filled out by parent AND student athlete before the student will be allowed to participate in sports.
Red Card fee: A season fee of $75 must be paid (a family max is currently set at $225 per school year).
Updated physical: The paper copy of the Physical form MUST be signed by the doctor, completely filled out by parent, and brought into the main office. (WIAA physical link located below) Physicals for the 2023-24 school year must be after April 1st of 2022. If the physical was before this date, the student must have a new physical before being allowed to play in sports at WHS.
Red Card Meetings
The in-person Red Card meetings have been replaced with an online video through Skyward Family access under Online Forms. Any WHS student who has not attended a Red Card meeting and plans on participating in WHS sports, is required to watch the video with a parent.
